1. Data Storage
All your show data — dates, venues, artists, photos, and notes — is stored locally on your device. SoundTrack does not require an account, does not collect personal information, and does not use analytics or tracking within the app.
2. Third-Party Services
SoundTrack uses two external APIs to help you find accurate information when adding shows:
- Spotify API: Used for artist search. Only your search terms are sent to Spotify. No personal data or show history is shared.
- Google Maps / Places API: Used for venue search and the venue map view. Only your search terms and location queries are sent to Google. No personal data or show history is shared.
These APIs are used solely for search functionality. Your saved data never leaves your device.
3. Cloud Backup
You can optionally export a backup of your data and save it to your preferred cloud storage (e.g., Google Drive, iCloud). This is entirely user-initiated. SoundTrack never accesses your cloud storage directly.
4. Support Communications
The only data we receive is information you voluntarily provide when contacting support through our support form. Support emails are deleted after your issue is resolved.
5. Website Analytics
This website uses PostHog for anonymous usage analytics to understand how visitors use the site. This applies only to the website — the SoundTrack app itself collects zero data.
6. Your Rights
Your data lives on your device. You can view, edit, or delete any of it at any time directly in the app. You can export your data as CSV or as a full backup. There is no lock-in — if you delete the app, your data goes with it.
7. Children's Privacy
SoundTrack does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of SoundTrack after changes indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
